Apex Legends: After Call of Duty Mobile, Apex Legends is another AAA game being developed for the mobile platform. Apex Legends is now preparing to enter the Android and iOS market after achieving grand level of success in the PC and Console Market.
According to a recent report of The Verge, EA Games recently mentioned about porting the game for Android & iOS in their quarterly earnings call. By creating Apex Legends for Android and iOS, EA Games would be trying to garner the same kind of success in the smartphone market just like the success they acheived in the PC and Console market.
For the uninitiated, Apex Legends is a Battle Royale game developed by Respawn Entertainment and was released on 4th February 2019. The game is played in between a total of 60 players who are grouped in teams of 3 players each. All the player groups then fight against each other after landing on an island. By the end of the game, the last surviving player/team becomes the winner of the game. With more than 2.5 million players worldwide, Apex Legends is one of the most popular and successful game of EA Entertainment.
The Mobile gaming Market is growing rapidly and hence attracting big game developing companies like EA Games and Activision to cater to the Mobile gamers. The success of Fortnite and PUBG have shown the potential of the Mobile Battle Royale games. Since Smartphones have become an ideal gaming platform for Battle Royale games, Apex Legends has all the right elements to become a success in the mobile market.
The mobile version of Apex legends is currently in early stage of development with EA games in advanced negotiation for bringing the game to China. Apart from the fact that Apex legend is being developed for Android and iOS, nothing else has been revealed by EA Games. Apex Legend is likely to be made available on our smartphones by the end of 2019 or sometime in 2020.
